If I told you were drinking coffee all the wrong time, no, seriously, most people drink coffee at the wrong time the day before. My name is Tony, and I have a PhD in nutrition and metabolic biology. Today talk about coffee which is one of my favourite topics, and we do that though vital that I at least grab some coffee. I’m missing something but cannot write about coffee.

Drinking coffee, we’ll be nothing better than a good cup of coffee. All right, coffee in hand, let’s do this, but before jumping in, if you guys ever want me to make future coffee. I am happy to do it coffee is one of my favourite topics, and that is precisely because caffeine now has several different effects on the body.

The bad effect of caffeine 

Caffeine is on dehydration, the effects on kidney disease, and the effects of caffeine on cancer and possibly the link with cancer. Most people drink coffee at the wrong time of the day so let’s cover what coffee does and when you should be drinking it to get that optimal benefit and really to have it. Caffeine work and keep you awake and keep you alert coffee works through several different mechanisms, and most people don’t realize that coffee is the most widely consumed psychoactive drug.

Now caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant, and it falls under the drug class of methylxanthines. The effects of caffeine mediate via several different mechanisms. First, caffeine inhibits and antagonizes the a1 and 2 adenosine receptors. It also inhibits phosphor disease.

However, it affects calcium’s intracellular release and inhibits and antagonizes different benzodiazepine receptors.

Adenosine builds up in this synapse between the neurons of specific neurons in the brain. So throughout the day, builds will gradually make you more tired and sleepier well.

Caffe blocks those receptors and doesn’t allow adenosine to bind; now, why all that is excellent caffeine. It has another physiological effect. It’s even just as important, and that is that caffeine increases our cortical levels, as you may know, is our stress hormone.

Most people know that stress isn’t that good for us. Cortisol has both beneficial in adverse effects in the morning cortisol. Your cortisol levels shoot up, which makes you alert and awake early in the morning.  

Naturally, your body does this because it wants to allow your body to wake up in the morning and get up and have that fresh start cortisol. Caffeine has very similar effects on wakefulness and alertness. Now throughout 24 hours, your cortisol levels fluctuate quite a bit and this.

Fluctuation is based on your sleep, wake cycles, and food intake. Now we know this is a lot of buildups but let’s take a closer look and analyze. What cortisol does do throughout the day if caffeine increases cortisol as well? We want to make sure that we take caffeine?

Time to increase cortisol level low and high to take caffeine 

When your cortisol levels are low, you can get added benefits from the caffeine, and you’re not just masking the caffeine effects from the cortisol. All right, please take a closer look at our cortisol levels and on the bottom the x-axis. We have time throughout the day. When you wake up at around 6 to 7 a.m., you eat lunch around 12:00 to 1:00 in the afternoon. And this is when you go to bed about 10:00 or 11:00 p.m.

When you sleep, cortisol is at its baseline at dawn. Your cortisol levels rise; you then wake up within one hour of waking up your cortisol levels. Peak this is why you get past that first 30 minutes of waking up your cortisol levels. Help you stay awake now. The first dip of cortisol occurs between 10:00 to noon.

Now, this is your window; this is when you should drink your first cup of coffee and now what it will do is it’ll counter that cortisol dip block.

Some of the adenosine receptors release cortisol and make you feel more awake again by drinking coffee before this period. It is very little for you because the cortisol levels are so high that most are alert and wakeful. You do have if you have any is actually from the cortisol and not from the caffeine. As the day progresses, cortisol goes up to around lunch and then dips around 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Final thoughts 

Coffee has caffeine and cortisol, so you should maintain coffee time to drink coffee, and caffeine also causes different critical diseases.
